An Update!

Our neighbour Truffle Treasures is joining us! Have you tried their gelato? And their hot chocolate is to die for. Seriously, my stomach is rumbling just thinking about it! I am thrilled that Celine stopped in and decided to join us.

They’ve decided to join in the giveaway, too!

Another summer has come to a close. Plans to execute a Summer Bucket List of Fun never did happen and dreams of taking extra time away from the store to plan fun activities with my kids were dashed by a change in staff.

Still, we did get to Niagara Falls (it is nothing like it used to be), we rode our  bike rides and took many evening walks and we ate a lot of peaches and strawberries. We celebrated my son’s tenth (!) birthday and had lots of late nights. I have zero complaints about the weather – I’ll take as much heat as I can because I know it will eventually get very cold!

But the calendar says September and I’ve been making back-to-school lists and new to-dos for the fall. I celebrate January 1st like everybody else, but September still feels like new beginnings and a time to get organized and make new lists of What To Get Done.

And it seems like I’m not alone.

Once the cooler days set in and September comes,  there is a definite increase in the sale of journals, calendars and agendas. It’s only 1pm and I have already sold three calendars today.

I like this change in seasons. I think it’s something to celebrate!

So, we’re planning a Fall Event. Cupcakes, tea and apple cider are on the menu. We are going to have three giveaways – the big one will be a chance to win one of these gorgeous growth charts. It’s a six foot ruler handmade by my friend Cleo over at Tonic.
