I like to write letters. But the fact is, it is hard to know what to say in a letter when when we’ve got daily updates (with pictures) on Facebook. I text back and forth with brother and my Aunt. And there is always the old-fashioned phone.
It is National Letter and Card Writing Month. I know. Since when, right? And what nation? It beats me! But I have been warming up to the idea.
But what to write about? Everyone knows what I did for my birthday last week. My cousins who are on Instagram know about the renovations at the store. I’ve already talked to my Mom twice this week on the phone.
So, I’ve decided to keep everyone’s expectations low and send a couple of postcards.
I actually already sent one to my Aunt as a thank you for the birthday present she sent me. Postcards are a cinch and kinda like the original Twitter because you can’t actually fit in a whole lot of information. A postcard keeps it short and sweet but you still get the warm fuzzies from dropping it in the mail. And the hope that you will get something back!
So, what do you think? Are you a wanna-be letter writer? Do you think a commitment to writing few postcards might set you on the right course?
The big question mark over here…if I send one to my brother, will I get one back?
Happy Friday!
