Say what you will, but we are firm believers in Faires in our house. My daughter, Kat, named our fairy Alvar. Alvar’s name means Army of the Elves. A fitting choice for a girl who sword fights her brother and hands her Dad written invitations to wrestling matches (if he dares), signed The Great Kat.
Our Fairy Door has sparked a week of imagination. Does Alvar live beyond the wall? Is there a magical kingdom just beyond the door?
Kat signed the Fairy/Family Lease Agreement
and a left note warning Alvar of Pippin The Cat…because that just makes sense. Alvar took the tiny key (the sign she had arrived) a couple of nights after the door went up.
It took about a week before she left us a little tiny message of her own.
A Fairy Door might be the perfect thing for your house – where will your imagination take you?
