Hi!
A few of you have been asking about Emily McDowell’s line of empathy cards. These cards are frank and hilarious. These are the greeting cards you give when words fail. They can sometimes provide levity to a tough moment.
Emily, a cancer survivor herself, came up with the words she wished she would have heard when she was diagnosed. And from accounts, it sounds like she is bang on.
I still sell an awful lot of traditional thinking of you cards and get well cards but when someone picks up one of Emily’s cards, I know that relationship is full of laughs, compassion and love.
As a Mom, I really like these cards, too. We’re in the thick of adolescence and good mental health is so important. If you ask me, confident kids that like who they are make for happy adults who can take on life and all ups and downs that come with it.
If you are in Westboro Village I hope you will stop in!
